The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated the factory installed tape deck/cd component would not operate in the play mode nor eject properly. In addition, the air conditioner failed to function when activated and the faulty air conditioner condenser was replaced twice. Both power sliding doors locks also failed to function which resulted to the replacement of the motor. The previous repairs on the vehicle where performed by an authorized dealer on separate occasions. Recently, the contact discovered two recalls associated with the prior defects under NHTSA campaign id numbers: 01I003000 (latches/locks/linkages: Doors: Latch) and 04V531000 (equipment: Electrical: Radio/tape deck/cd etc.). the VIN was not included in either recall campaign. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 75,000.

We bought a used 2001 Chrysler Town and country in March. Right away we started having brake problems. We have had the vehicle in the shop 3 times for the brakes. Today I went out, and there was absolutely no brakes. The pedal was all the way to the floor, and the van was still rolling. We have replaced pads, caliper, and lines already.

The contact owns a 2001 Chrysler Town and country. When the radio was activated, the contact noticed an electric light flashing. In addition, the battery would frequently fail. He took the vehicle to a repair shop and they stated that the radio caused the battery to drain. The dealer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign id number 04V531000 (equipment:electrical:radio/tape deck/cd etc.); therefore, they would not assume financial responsibility for the repairs. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 109,759 and current mileage was 112,759.

I bought a used 2001 Chrysler Town and country LX van, on 04/04/2004 I have had a lot of problems with the drivers side power window. It will go down all the time, bet 99% of the time it comes up 1/4 to 1/2 in. At a time and takes about 1/2 hour to get it all the way up. Chrysler wants $300 dollars to replace it, but I read and get told that this happens to almost all Chrysler and Dodge and Plymouth vans. And even if you fix it chances are it will stop working soon after. This is not right that Chrysler can sell vans and make money off of the bad motors they put in the windows. I get wet if it rains if I for get and run the window down. And I freeze in the winter some times because it won, T come up. Also the timing go, S bad on the front wiper motor a lot and the arms cross over each other and brakes the blades. They know about all this and won, T own up to it. Chrysler needs to be made to fix there junk. I paid good money for the van and im tired of them making out that they don, T no about this problem just so they can make money off of us.

Vehicle has had numerous problems. Brake problems, w/a vibrating/shaking of front of vehicle upon braking. Was fixed by dealer twice. Front heated seats have stopped working: Twice on driver side. Dealer fixed. Now on passenger side, dealer will not fix under extended warranty. Cost is expensive to fix. Engine noise problems - loud whining, with rough idling. Happened w/in first couple of month of ownership, dealer thought it was the fan. Replaced fan parts. Started w/noise and rough-idyling again w/in a couple of months, dealer couldn't figure it out. Went in for third time, dealer said it was the steering fluid resevoir. Dealer made a "modification" to the fluid resevoir. Noise w/rough idylling came back again a few months ago, dealer said it was a hose. Replaced hose. Problem is now coming back again, dealer is not sure what it is, currently problem is intermitten, dealer can't find noise upon checking, noise is most apparent upon periods @ higher rates of speed, dealer will not drive at higher rate of speed to test. Passenger slider door has problem shifting from automatic mode to manual mode: Stays in automatic mode when person tries to manually open. Dealer will not fix under extended warranty. Cost to fix is expensive. Air-conditioner compressor in for third repair. Air-conditioner had pressure problems, no cold air coming out, only hot air. Went to dealer twice to be repaired. Dealer told us this is a common problem in warmer-climate areas, and prepare to get used to cold air not always being cold, depending on the heat outside. This was not an acceptable response to me. Dealer finally fixed problem. Now compressor has gone out. Dealer is currently checking problem. All repairs have been done by norm reeves Chrysler Dodge in temecula, ca until the A/C compressor problem. This is being done at a different dealer, because I have not been happy with norm reeves' service.
