Town & Country LXI 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 114,000 miles

I HAVE A 2001 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY THAT HAS ALL POWER WINDOWS, SLIDE DOORS, AND HATCH DOOR. FROM TIME TO TIME MY HATCH DOOR WILL BEEP AS THOUGH IT IS PREPARING TO OPEN, AND SOMETIMES IT DOES AND SOMETIMES IT DOES NOT. AT THE PRESENT TIME I CAN PRESS THE BUTTON INSIDE THE VAN AND THE HATCH DOOR DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, IT DOES NOT EVEN BEEP RIGHT NOW. MY POWER WINDOW ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOES NOT LET UP AND DOWN LIKE IT SUPPOSE TO WHEN THE WINDOW SWITCH IS PRESSED. IT ONLY WORKS FROM TIME TO TIME, THIS IS A PAIN. ALSO MY SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOES NOT OPEN WHEN I PRESS THE BUTTON FOR IT TO DO SO. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ONLINE ALSO, AND I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT OWNERS OF THESE TOWN AND COUNTRY OR CARAVANS, OR VOYAGERS HAVE HAD THESE SAME PROBLEMS OF ALL MODELS SINCE THE ELECTRIC DOORS EXISTED FOR THESE MINIVANS. SO WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON HERE? I THINK DODGE SHOULD PROPERLY INSPECT AND REPLACE NECESSARY PARTS FOR THESE MINIVANS AS A COURTESY, AS WELL AS BE REQUIRED BY NHTSA TO REPLACE OR REPAIR THESE DOORS. IF THESE DOORS ARE NOT OPERATING WHEN THE BUTTON IS BEING PUSHED FOR THESE DOORS TO OPEN, HOW ARE THEY GOING TO FUNCTION IN THE EVENT OF A CAR ACCIDENT. WILL THE DOORS OPEN AT ALL, EVEN IF YOU TRY TO OPEN MANUALLY? WHAT ABOUT THE HATCH DOOR,? I THINK IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT THESE DOORS MAY NOT OPEN IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT, OR JUST MAY NOT OPEN AT ALL WHETHER AN ACCIDENT EXISTS OR NOT. CHRYSLER DO US ALL A FAVOR AS I HAVE TRUSTED YOUR PRODUCTS FOR MANY YEARS, FIX THIS PROBLEM. AND I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE THINKING, MY VAN IS OLD. WELL HELLO! YOUR 2002-2012 ELECTRONIC DOORS ARE ALSO DOING THE SAME THING. LET'S FIX THE PROBLEM BEFORE IT BECOMES A BIGGER ONE. AND YOU MAY END UP RECALLING JUST AS MANY VEHICLES AS HONDA. BESIDES, WHO KNOWS, WHAT OTHER PROBLEMS MAY OCCUR BEHIND THIS DOOR OPENING AND WINDOW GOING UP AND DOWN PROBLEM. COULD A FIRE LATER BE POSSIBLE SINCE THIS IS ELECTRIC? INVESTIGATE IT,THINK ABOUT IT, FIX IT, AND LET'S MOVE FORWARD.

Town & Country Limited 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission

All automatic doors quit working. One is intermittent, others either don't work at all or don't have enough power to open or close. Useless.

Town & Country Limited 3.8L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,000 miles

Both side automatic doors and the rear hatch automatic lift door do not work. The side doors take turns not working in power mode and the rear hatch automatic doesn't work at all. All doors are hard to open in manual mode.
