Safety is the main problem. After you fill tank and start to move into traffic the engine stalls and sometimes stops completely. This makes a very big safety concern when trying to merge or cross traffic. Many times I have almost been hit from the rear and sides. This also causes the fuel to spill back out the spout on onto person filling tank. I have a case number from National Center for Dispute Settlement but since there is no recall for this item they cannot do anything. Case #66165038FL

Update from Mar 28, 2016: What are they going to do, Wait until someone is killed before they start a recall?

After filling up the gas tank on our 2005 Chrysler town & country. It started to surge as I went to pull out of the gas station into traffic, and then it died and took a minute before it would start back up. I see that this is an apparently known problem for multiple Chrysler vehicles and they apparently are unwilling to take care of us.

What is it going to take for Chrysler to admit there is a problem? When will you accept the major design flaw as you have with the Dodge Chargers and Chrysler 300? How many more families will you allow to be put in danger?

This problem starting a while ago. At first it was sporadic, sometimes it stalled after refueling and sometimes it was OK. Yesterday it stalled 5 separate times after refueling. It happened in intersections and I had to drift off the road to restart the car. It was scary as well as annoying. I'm afraid if this happens at the wrong time in the wrong place I will end up with an accident. Reading online I see other people have had this problem and some people are saying the only fix is to replace the gas tank. This is an expensive repair for a 2005 car, especially if it should be recalled for this problem, which if it's as common as it sounds, it should be.
