The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that the front passenger sliding door hinge failed and prevented the sliding door from opening or closing. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact called russell westbrook Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of van nuys at (818) 646-2364 (located at 6110 van nuys blvd, van nuys, ca 91401) and was informed that the vehicle was not included in a recall. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10V235000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 111,000.
