The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and country. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle loss motive power and stalled with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact contacted the dealer state line Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Kansas City (1001 w 104th St, Kansas City, mo 64114, (816) 399-5457) who informed the contact that the egr valve malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The failure persisted and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle back to the dealer who stated that the tipm and motor mount were possibly the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired a second time. The contact stated that the failure was related to the keyfob however, the failure was not covered under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.

The egr valve was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000. Updated 10/10/14 the consumer stated the vehicle stalled. Updated 11/18/14
