After two trips to the dealership, where EGR Valve and Module were replaced, car won't shift on highway, check engine light comes on. Can't travel over 40 mph while on an out of state trip.

Dealership out of state replaced the Module - Powertrain Control and the TIPM. So far so good.

My wife and I brought a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country 10 months ago (used) it had 95000 miles on at 100000 it started not shifting right. We were so upset we only had it for 9 months and we have 4 kids so its already a struggle to make the payment and now we have a major repair on a van we just brought. So we paid the $1500 to get the lockout solenoid replaced and was told that would fix my transmission.

Today the check engine light came on and it started shifting incorrectly. I took it in and they put it on the machine and they said now its the shift solenoid and it would cost $600 to fix. WTF I don't have $600 I just put $1500 in it last month. This van is becoming a NIGHTMARE. I don't know what I'm going to do. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY ANY CHRYSLER EVER. Please if you can give me any suggestion I would appreciate it.

Town & Country Limited 4.0L

Traveling down the highway the car was fine until traffic slowed down significantly <25mph, when the traffic cleared and you accelerated that car would not go above 3rd gear. We could get up to about 45 mph to get us to the next exit. This was a regularly repeatable problem. We learned to turn the car off and let it sit for a short period. Then it would shift fine again. It took two trips to the dealer to fix. The first time they tried reprogramming the transmission. That didn't work. The second time they pulled the transmission from the car and disassembled it to find the problem (a broken part). It took them a week and a half. Fortunately, it was covered under the base warranty, and we haven't had any more problems with it during the year since it was repaired.
