Town & Country Touring 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

Noticed oil spots in garage after my wife drove to work. Checked the oil level a little while after she got home from work it checked ok. Pulled it up on ramps and crawled underneath the van to see everything covered in a glaze of oil GREAT!!! another issue with this damn van. Time to trade it in.

took van in for oil change when I was told to take it to dealer where I bought it, that it had oil all over the engine, that it was leaking out of the top pan and could be serious. I was a quart low. It took them 4 hours to tell me that they didn't know what the problem was because it was covered in oil!!! really???? they told me to drive it 1000 miles and bring it back. they had put a dye in it and by then they should be able to see where it was leaking from. brought back, and they said it was the head gasket. two days later they were done with it. it was covered under drive train warranty....ideas on if this really is the fix? I've been told the head gasket should not cause an oil leak and I know absolutely nothing about cars???

thought I was doing good buying American.......never will I buy Chrysler again. have had so many problems with this vehicle in 3 years and 41,000 miles. will go back to Honda!
