Town & Country

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

The Chrysler blind spot monitoring system is absolutely junk. Our 2011 T&C blind spot monitoring system quit working after 40k miles. We spent extra for this poorly engineered 'safety' system.

Do the right thing and recall it - any Chrysler mechanic will tell you that they have had a lot of problems with it and the cost to repair $2,300 (quoted) to replace is not feasible. Especially when it would be replaced with the same flawed parts and setup.

DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR BLIND SPOT MONITORING - Chrysler does not warranty nor stand behind their product. They will claim its due to corrosion or a build up of dirt - guess what - if they engineered it so it wasn't exposed to the elements in the first place this would be a non issue.

Very disappointed in Chrysler - they made a good product (minivan) but it has an known flaw they refuse to recall.

Again, the Side View Mirror Indicators went on the blink. They repaired, but it took several days and we had to lease a vehicle under the extended warranty.
