Town & Country

  • Automatic transmission

Slipping out of gear, unable to change gears, grinding noises on automatic transmission. Have had for less than 6 months! Trying to get it covered under lemon law.

Town & Country 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

My check engine light came on in March. I checked the code which indicated PO740, transmission problem. Took it to a transmission repair for diagnosis. Was informed the problem was as follows: due to excessive slippage the torque converter, solenoid need replacement as well as service the valve body.

This car only has 84,986 miles on it. I do not think complaining will do much at this point, however I would like the public to be aware of this problem, so they do their due diligence prior to purchasing a vehicle. No one wants to buy a car this expensive only to have to put more of our hard earned dollars into a faulty product.

Town & Country Touring 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Dealer reports no problem but it can be unsafe to over-accelerate when attempting to overcome slipping / shudder while reversing on uphill grade at slow speed.
