The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler Town and country. When the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle hesitated to accelerate and a loud noise emitted from the front end of the vehicle without warning. The vehicle accelerated after the accelerator pedal was depressed with excessive force. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but the failure was unable to be determined. The contact was a certified mechanic and discovered that the transmission failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 31,000.
