Town & Country V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

The same thing that happened to the previous owner who posted about this issue. Every warning light came on in the vehicle while going 50mph on our local parkway. The vehicle began to lock up and lost then lost power. Scary! I'm taking it into get it looked at first thing tomorrow. I'll post an update once I see what the dealer says. Hopefully they don't give me the same garbage the other owner's dealer who posted on this issue gave them.

Town & Country

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,500 miles

While driving down a street at 25 mph I noticed I had gone down to 22 mph. I pressed the gas and nothing happened. I pressed the brake and nothing. I then made a decision to turn onto a side street instead of continuing towards a main road in my town. When I tried turning I discovered I had no steering. I fought the van and after turning onto the side street I had to put both feet on the brake and I stood on the brake in order to get it to stop. I went from 10 mph to dead stopped.

After stopping I put it in park and the van shut its engine off. I wasn't about to attempt driving the van again as I had my 3 kids with me and didn't trust it to not crap out on me again. I called my road side assistance for a tow. The next day the dealership finally got to look at it only to tell me there was no record on the vans computer of anything having happened. So now I'm suppose to drive around a van that may or may not do this again.
