problem #1

Dec 202012

Avenger R/T AWD 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 73,322 miles

I bought the car at 65000km

I did complain to Chrysler and they said that it was not their problem, that this was not a defect.

I think this is link to the defect of the Gaz Tank Strap a few years ago. The strap we're defective (loose) and needed to be replaced. The fuel tank could move around on the strap. A recall was issued.

The Recall was done with the previous owner of the car. I am certain that the recall was done too late and that some wear occured on the tank (where the strap passes) and this created metal fatigue/thinner metal contributhing to the leak today. There is no visble rust anywhere on the tank.
