Vehicle fails to react when gas pedal pressed from a stop or just after vehicle is started, occurs at random and intermittently, dealership recommended switching out throttle body/throttle position sensor.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked when he noticed that the top of the antifreeze reservoir was leaking anti freeze. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on six occasions, but the technicians were unable to diagnose the failure and stated that the leak was normal. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 5,200.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger rt. While idling in the park position, the contact heard a beeping sound inside the vehicle and the temperature gauge increased to hot. There was also the sound of flowing coolant coming from the front end of the vehicle. When the gear was shifted into drive, the vehicle began to function normally. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis but the technician was unable to duplicate the problem. The vehicle remained at the dealer for additional investigation. The failure mileage was 17,774. The VIN was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. While driving approximately 50-55 mph, the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated and stalled. The contact restarted the vehicle which functioned properly. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who could not duplicate the failure. The failure continued and the dealer was once again able to duplicate the failure. The throttle was replaced on the third visit but the failure continued. The manufacturer had not been notified. Also the contact stated that there was a problem with the brakes as they were noisy when the contact was driving in reverse. The brake pedal extended to the floorboard and popped back up when depressed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 13,000 and the current mileage was 17,386.
