My child unbuckled her seatbelt while parked in our driveway at home. The seatbelt was wrapped around her waist at the time (one strap over her lap and one strap behind her back) and it "locked". The more she wiggled to get out of it, the tighter the seatbelt became!! This resulted in my child crying and terrified as it was cutting into her side and stomach and restricting her breathing. Myself, brother, and neighbor's boyfriend tried everything to loosen the belt and was unable to do so. With each movement she made, the seatbelt tried to recoil itself even more while still locked tight. We ended up having to cut the seatbelt off of her because there was no way for her to wiggle it over her head or below her waist to get out of it and it was severely hurting her and causing her to not be able to breath.
