With only 66,000 miles a transmission should not go out, then after the transmission goes out, the driver door will not open.... Dodge makes a piece of crap, and should not be making vehicles....

driving down the road and all of a sudden you can't accelerate. The car is like it hesitates then it goes and it jerks and it gets worse when ran for a long period of time. Just bought last year didn't feel the need to buy extended warranty stupid on my part I drove a rental that was a dodge caliber thought about getting one for a year and finially bought one had problems within the first 2 weeks of owning it. Took it to the dodge dealer and they said it was wiring replaced that for $800 then the front ball joint $ 300 now they say the problem is inside the transmission cost will be $3600. So with all the problems why aren't these dodge calibers being recalled for 2007 -2010 Do they think the average person has this kind of money laying around. I will never buy a dodge again was an oldsmobile customer for years liked the caliber but I think the dodge customers are going elsewhere. Once again the dodge company needs to recall these vehicles and make it right

I AM SO UNBELIEVABLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS VEHICLE!!!!!! I PURCHASED IT ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO, AND RIGHT FROM THE GET GO I HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. WHEN IT WAS UNDER WARRENTY, I WOULD TAKE IT TO THE DEALER SHIP WITH THESE CONCERNS AND PROBLEMS, AND THEY COULD NOT HELP AT ALL BECAUSE THE SAID "THAT IS THE WAY THOSE TRANSMISSIONS ARE BUILT". THAT IS A TON OF CRAP, WHY THE HELL WOULD SOMEONE CREATE A CAR WITH THIS MANY PROBLEMS , WITHOUT OFFERING A RECALL. I BOUGHT THIS CAR TO COMMUTE BACK AND FORTH TO WORK, AND TO HAVE AS A SAFE AND RELIABLE FAMILY CAR, BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE. I LIVE IN POMONA AND DRIVE THROUGH THE CAJON PASS TO GET TO WORK, I CAN'T EVEN MAKE IT UP THE ENTIRE HILL WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION OVER HEATING. WELL ONE DAY I WAS PULLED OVER WAITING OVER 45 MINUTES FOR THE TRANNY TO COOL OFF, ALREADY LATE TO WRK. THE TRANNY HAD NOT COOLED OFF AND I HAD RUN OUT OF PAITENTS!!!! SO I DROVE IT THE REST OF THE WAY TO WRK , WITH THE TRANNY WHINNING AND EXLERATING AT THE RANGE OF10 TO 15 MPH. I FINALLY MAKE IT TO WRK, BUT AFTER MY SHIFT, I GO TO LEAVE AND THE CAR STARTS AND IDELS FINE BUT WHEN YOU PUT IT INTO GEAR IT WILL JUST SHUT OFF. KNOW I NOW I SHOULD NOT OF PUSHED IT OVER THE EDGE, BUT I HAVE BEEEN IN THE SITUATION OF BEEING PULLED OVER ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO MUCH WAITING FOR THAT DANM TRANSMISSION TO COOL DOWN. SOOOO NOW I AM IN A BIG JAM. THE CAR WILL PROBLY BE ABOUT $2,000 TO FIX, THE CAR IS ALMOST NOT EVEN WORTH THAT MUCH, AND I OWE ON IT 3 TIMES THAT VALUE. I AM FURIOUS THAT SOMEONE WOULD BUILD A CAR WITH THIS AMOUNT OF PROBLEMS AND NOT PUT A RECALL ON IT, IT PUTS REGULAR HARD WORKING PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF IN A BIND, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE THEY ARE GETTING A GOOD RELIABE FAMILY SAFE VEHICLE, WHEN IN REALITY THEY ARE GETTING A PIECE OF SH*T LEMON THAT THE DEALER SHIPS WILL NOT ASSIST YOU WITH. SO NOW MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING IN THE DRIVEWAY OVER A MONTH NOW AND I DONT HAVE THE 2 GRAND TO FIX IT AND TO MUCH OWED ON THE CAR TO TRADE IT IN FOR A DESENT ONE. THIS CAR F*CKED ME!!!!!!!!!!
