problem #2

Jan 012017

Caliber SXT 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,500 miles

Driving on highway with cruise set at 72, RPMs rev above 4000 with high pitch whine. Transmission coolant light came on dash. Got off highway at next exit, car not into limp mode, but was not responding as normal to accelerator being pushed. No other dash lights on, no codes when diagnosed at local Dodge dealer. Anyone else have this problem? Thinking it's time for this POS to go over a cliff! Can't trust it to go over 40 miles when it's cold outside, how can it be trusted to get me anywhere when it's 90 plus degrees in Michigan?

Caliber SXT 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 133,000 miles

I hit a deer with the car 2 months . since then, it would surge when accelerating above 70 mph. I have had it into 2 other shops, paid for diagnostic checks (with no dash lights having come on). Even I know there will be no codes when no indicator lights have come on! And surprise, no one, even the flipping DODGE dealers can tell me anything or figure out why it keeps leaving me sitting on the side of the highway. The throttle body has even been replaced, not just cleaned. I'm so over this POS! Anyone else have this problem and/or have a cure?
