Caravan SXT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 78,000 miles

I got this Van and got it at Car express. When I got it they said they would fix the door that was making a weird sound. Well they fixed it and it came back. So I just put up with it. I take it to them for inspection back in 2013. One year later. They tell me it's fixed. Not. It started making this load grinding sound. Well one year later surprise. The door won't open. So I take it apart and think it's the actuator lock well it's not. I start to find out its the electric lock door latch motor. So now, after fixing one thing, I have to fix something else. What gets me solo ducking mad is there are complaints and Dodge won't fix it for free and I am spool tucking mad at that Car Express saying... oh we fixed it... and never did. So now how do I get my van inspected. Damn ass Dodge.

Caravan SLX V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

When I first got my van brand new about a month after I bought it the door stopped working. They fixed the problem and then in June of 2010 I was driving my van with my four kids and the door flew open when I turned a corner. I have had nothing but problems with this door it doesn't close right and comes open while I am driving. I have told Dodge about the problem and they refuse to pay for it saying no one else has had this problem with there van.

Caravan Grande V.6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,000 miles

First one auto door, then the the other, stopped working. Also auto lock on pass back door will not work. Doors are heavy and hard to slide open and closed by hand. Aside from the fact that one shouldn't have to do that...being AUTOMATIC, and all. Also the HEAD LIGHTS have just gone out twice, at night, while driving on hwy! (hello!) Now the battery dies if anything at all in left on while you sit in the car, like the radio. Ready to say good bye to this van, and it is only has 33,000 miles! I have heard from other moms, that they had the same issues, and got rid of the van for these reasons. :(

Caravan 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,472 miles

Passenger side sliding door will not lock with power locks. Remotes or controls in front of vehicle.

Sounds like maybe the actuator is moving, but not 100% certain since it is close to the front door on the same side.

Similar complaints for the previous year's model on here as well.
