When in park for a few minutes, the interior lights will dim, then the engine sounds a little rough for a couple of seconds. Within a few of minutes of that happening, the engine will turn off by itself. It's happened several times. I changed the air filter and used fuel injection cleaner. However, it did it again about a week or two later. I'm wondering if the alternator is going bad. The last time it happened was 3/5/2020

Exterior lights flash constantly when car is parked and turned off. Sometimes the lights don't flash, they simply will not turn off at all after car is turned off. Has had a relay replaced 3 times since the car was purchased at the end of 2014, the issue described has killed the battery numerous times. Nowadays the interior lights flash constantly as well when the car is turned on. No recall has been issues on this VIN but this 4 year old car with 65000 miles has been worked on 6 times in just the last two years due to countless issues that include the worst and most persistent issue, being the faulty lighting. Other issues include the oxygen sensor malfunctioning resulting in the engine rattling when slowing down or accelerating and high fuel consumption ( a full gas tank would be empty within three days driving locally in a five mile radius) as well as traction control failing resulting in near accidents.

This morning while I was driving down a curvy dark country road at about 60 miles per hour, the car just shut off, all power was lost. Lights and everything. Lost power steering, power brakes, all lighting. We were very lucky we did not crash, but this issue is very dangerous. I believe that this vehicle should be included in the following recall as it describes specifically what happened to my vehicle. P60/NHTSA 14V-634

My son lost power while driving, lights and stereo went crazy. Car shut down and lights and stereo still going when tow truck arrived to tow to house 40 minutes later. Had to disconnect battery terminal to shut everything down. Fortunately my son was not hurt or any one else.
