Challenger 5.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,697 miles

I was traveling to work on a busy 3-lane road. Thankfully, I was in the far right lane, because when the traffic light turned green, my car just died on me, telling me to put the car in park and then the desired gear. I had to quickly put my flashers on indicating to those around me that I was having car problems. I was able to coast into a parking lot, put the car in park and turn the engine off. When I started the car again, it acted as if there were no problems. This was extremely scary for me. Luckily nobody was injured and I was able to safely move my vehicle off the road. Dodge needs to figure this out and get it fixed!!!!!!

Challenger RT 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 17,300 miles

Two times since owning the car, it has COMPLETELY SHUT OFF while at a stop light. No other way to describe it. Dealer said that it happens because of the heat.
