problem #1

Dec 092013

Charger RT 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 250 miles

From the very beginning, the left thigh bolster was exceedingly stiff and hurt my left thigh, unlike the right thigh bolster, which was soft and not a problem. Also from the get go, the shoulder bolster on the left side was totally unsupportive while executing a right turn, unlike the right shoulder bolster, which was supportive on a left turn. Basically, the entire left side of the driver's seat was uncomfortable and unsupportive. I engaged an upholsterer, at my own expense, who softened the thigh bolster (now matching the right thigh bolster in softness) and inserted additional padding in the left shoulder bolster. Now I am comfortable and supported on right turns.

Why no one else has complained about this problem (that I can find), I do not know. I have had more than a dozen vehicles over the past 50 years; not one had a seat that was a problem in any manner.
