problem #3

Aug 242023

Charger R/T V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Right head light goes off at random, and then goes off completely after a couple of months . Had this issue in 2018, and got it fixed by paying around $500 (Had light bulb replaced and then control unit replaced). The problem repeating again now, as right head light going off at random

Update from Nov 13, 2023: Dealership estimated $2000 for material and labor, to fix the issue

problem #2

Feb 222017

Charger SE 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,000 miles

Bought this car used, Feb. 2017 right around 42000 miles. Headlights completely flicker off, very randomly. These are the standard bulbs, not HID or LED, but the LED accent lighting also goes dark when it flickers. It may only happen for less than a second but I see it every night as I work mid-night through 8am. I commute less than 15 miles and rarely see other vehicles so it is easily noticed. Doesn't seem to be a huge issue, but it's an odd problem in my opinion.

Charger 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,000 miles

head lights have "flickered" from the first day i bought it

Have had my car into 3 different dealerships. The problem has been duplicated once at the dealership where it was purchased, but Chrysler says the problem has to be "duplicated", they have kept my car over night several days at a time to drive it after it had been sitting over night. Chrysler has not done anything since the problem can't be duplicated. I consider this a safety risk now. This could cause an accident, especially if they go out at night. They put it on the computer each time I have had it seen (5 times). No computer error, no person in the data base reports a similar problem, Im the only one. Well I dont enjoy missing work, or leaving my car over night for strangers at a dealership to drive.

Update from Oct 13, 2017: I needed new tires on my charger around 28,000 miles, came with 60,000 mile michelin tires. I noticed after I had left my car at Landmark dodge for them to keep and one of the techs to drive home for the head light problem (so they could try and see the problem when it was happening). I had new tires put on and the man ask me had I been doing burn outs...OMG no!! So I'm thinking when my car was left for several days, a burn out was done. I have not ever drove around with bald tires what so ever and my 2 back tires were slick as glass. And the dealership never found the problem and I had to pay for a rental car during those days my car was being kept.

Now having a click noise in the engine. Ive got to see about it. Will up date later.
