The contact owns a 2017 Dodge Charger. While driving at an unknown speed, an abnormal winding noise was heard. The contact noticed that the hood latch was corroded. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the local dealer. The failure mileage was 9,000.
