problem #3

Jan 052007

(reported on)

Dakota 4x4 5.2L

  • Manual transmission
  • 154,000 miles

At about 90,000 miles the ball joints went on my 4x4 Dakota. Ok, well its old. Brand new serviceable joints were installed. 30,000 miles later the ball joints went again. OK WTF. Again at 154,000 miles they went for a 3rd time. Think it is a major stress point on a truck never used off road, never towing, and only use 4x4 if needed in snow? anyone have any ideas on a coil spring kit like the Rams use? please use the comment link below to send me any suggestions.
