problem #1

Dakota SLT 4.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 131,109 miles

Driving along and then a loud bang. Truck physically jumped up, shook and and stumbled down the road at 60 MPH as one tire was straight and the other dragging sideways (as if sharp turn) Very lucky not to get sucked off the road into the adjacent 20 ft water filled ditch.

Truck shook violently and finally came under control somehow, all wheels pointing in the a same direction. Shaking has destroyed my front end. Need to replace ball joints, control rods, one tire, brakes etc and alignment. $ 3k
