The bracket around the positive terminal makes contact with the terminal and the electrical block attached to it, I slid a dime in between to make a solid contact and the trouble lights on the dash went out. I took the dime out, and the power steering light, and the tire pressure light came on, I think this also was causing the steering wheel to lock while my nephew was driving. Try it, see if it works for you.
