I have had this 2016 Dodge Dart for about 8 months. Today my the car died while idling at a stoplight. I got it to start again after a few minutes. I called the dealership and they told me to check my oil level. I had changed the oil myself about 3 months beforehand and had put the amount of oil that the owners manual recommended into the car. But when I checked the oil after talking to the dealership, my oil level was extremely low! Apparently these cars burn oil and if the level gets too low they will stall. This is ridiculous I guess I will have to check my oil all the time to make sure it doesn't get too low. Apparently Dodge isn't planning on fixing this problem anytime soon.

My Dodge Dart kept stalling on me on the first drive of the day. I would get about a mile away from home and it would just stall. I had to put it in park and restart the car, but it took about a minute to get back running. Once this was happening every day I figured I should take it in, so I brought it to the Dodge dealership and they told me it needed an oil change. I still had a thousand miles left before I was due for my next oil change. There was no oil on the dipstick. They ended up charging me 200 dollars for figuring that out and changing the oil. Engine is burning so much oil I have to have it checked every week.

Dodge Dealer Eau Claire did nothing to help me even though the car is still under the power train warranty. The service was sub-par and the people were rude. I was also told under my power train warranty that I would be covered then when I showed up I was told "my manager says you won't be covered because this falls under General Maintenance." well I am here to tell you that excessive loss of oil and or excessive oil burning is a power train problem!

I will be consulting an attorney and I will be providing my attorney with the audio that I recorded of the service technician feeding me this crock of sh*t.

When the first oil change was due the car began shutting itself off while driving. Took it to the dealership, they changed the oil and the issue seemed to resolve. Around 10,000 miles went in for the next oil change to find out the car was again shutting itself off because it had NO oil at all. NONE! How does a brand new car eat oil? The dealership filled it with oil and changed the filter. At the next oil change time, again the same issues... still no fix and now the warranty is up on the car so of course there's nothing that can be done at this point.

I purchased a new 2016 Dodge Dart SXT for my son . He was excited about his first brand new car, 30 days after purchase the car dies leaving me to come help him . I call the dealership they tell me its a smart car that when it gets low on oil it cuts off to save the engine. I responded not knowing a new car was possible to burn oil that fast on a consistent basis, that the oil should have been checked before leaving the dealership. News to me it was checked this car burns enough oil every month to cause the car to die while driving endangering the life of my child. I have contacted Dodge theres no recall or any intentions of fixing this problem. The only suggestion they offered was to come in 5 times every 500 miles to do a oil check on the dipstick ,if the car shows to be burning enough oil they will replace engine with the same engine. I responded this is a new engine ,how would putting a new engine in this car resolve anything ,remember it would be the same new engine same problem. Im struggling for a solution to make this right without going through the expense and hassles of hiring a attorney.
