The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Durango. While attempting to start the vehicle, the battery was drained and the engine failed to start due to a faulty alternator. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who indicated that the battery was faulty. The battery was replaced but the failure persisted. The recall notice for NHTSA campaign number: 14V63400 (electrical system) was received in November of 2014. After contacting the dealer and the manufacturer on multiple occasions, the contact was informed that the parts needed to repair the vehicle were still not available and no estimated time for receiving the parts could be provided. The failure mileage was 60,000.
