Durango SXT V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,800 miles

Noticed SUV jerking into 2nd gear for about a week. Set an appointment up with the dealership (not with their transmission guy because he was on vacation). They quickly looked into it and updated software and it worked for about a day. Call a few days later the transmission guy was backed up and he didn't get a chance to look at my car. The next day I called the dealership and they said they noticed an issue and had to call corporate to see how to fix the issue. This all occurred without them offering a rental car or even a courtesy phone call updating me on the status. The issue with my SUV is still pending a fix.

Durango Limited V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 4,500 miles

Noticed the truck started shifting hard from 2nd to 1st and is progressively getting worse. Dealer unable to get it in until May 18th, so I'm not sure yet how they will respond or what they will do to address it. I have read many complaints of issues of the same problem so I won't be surprised if it ends up being a recall!

Durango LTD 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,010 miles

My 2014 Dodge Durango Ltd 3.6 with 8 speed transmission has started to jerk pretty hard when the transmission moves from Number 2 gear to first gear when stopping at a red light or slowing down. The same jerk is very noticable as it leaves 2nd gear Drive into 3rd gear Drive. People riding in my car are asking what is wrong with the car. The problem started a month ago and is getting progressively worst. Other than this problem I love my car.

I see others are complaining about this same problem without getting a proper fix from their dealer. I am going to write to Chrysler to inform them of this problem with my car and register my Case problem for their attention.

Update from Jul 30, 2015: Took my Durango into my Dealer and they "scoped" the problem on their computer. They reset the shifting sensors and my SUV works great again without the Transmission downshift and upshift problems I had been experiencing before. I hope this is a permanent fix.....Love this car.
