I have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan which has a very dangerous problem; while driving down the road the instrument panel and speedometer all die. It only seems to happen at night. Another problem it has is that the light switch is finiky, you have to play with it for a while before is turns on and stays on, what a pain in the neck.
Has anyone else had this problem? I had a mechanic tell us that the van is too old to fix since it has rust. How is it fixed?
If enough of these vans have had this issue then they should have been recalled and fixed by Dodge/Chrysler.
