While driving 30 mph consumer heard a loud noise coming from the rear and the vehicle jerked. Vehicle was taken to a body shop for inspection, and mechanic determined that the rack and pinion needed to be replaced.

My van is a 2001 Grand Caravan sport with 42000 miles. Manufacturer will not do anything to assist. Sounds like a recall is in order if they are as problematic as I have been informed.
