Grand Caravan SXT 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission

The DVD player always jams up. Took to the dealer and it always works fine for them. When it jams up it won't do anything until you get it unjammed.

DVD Player is jammed, won't eject, for the 2nd time. Tried to switch from one dvd to another and it gets stuck. Apparently this is a common problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Second time this problem has occurred. First time dealer was able to fix in house, second time had to exchange unit. If we had to pay for repair cost would have been $275.

All vehicles have problems with CD/DVD players over time due to dust, dirt and vehicle vibration. We expected to have problems so we purchased the best Chrysler extended warranty available with new car purchase. So far all repairs have been covered and we get a free rental car (minivan) even if the vehicle is in for just one day. The dealership is convenient to our location, the service has been great and so we are still pretty happy with this vehicle.

We purchased our minivan fully loaded. Although the seating is not as comfortable as a Honda or Toyota, the price of the vehicle with the extended warranty was still almost $20,000 less than the competition. If we had not purchased the extended warranty, I'm not sure I would be happy with this vehicle.
