I have had a continual problem with the gas pedal sticking. The problem occurs when you are driving and you take your foot off of the accelerator to slow down, brake, etc.. When you attempt to reapply the accelerator it sticks at the top everytime. The throttle body has been replaced once and cleaned once, but the problem continues to exist. Just the other day my wife had parked the car and attempted to back up and had to literally force the accelerator loose in order to apply the gas pedal.

The dealership calls this "Throttle Body Maintenance".
What I experienced: The accelerator would stick and the van did not have a smooth start up. Cars behind me became irritated that the light was green and I hadn't started forward. I was pushing on the accelerator, but I wasn't moving forward.
When I finally pushed hard enough on the accelerator that it wasn't stuck anymore, the van lurched forward and I was in a very quick acceleration. This was horrible for gas mileage (not that this van gets great gas mileage in the first place) and dangerous too. I continually thought I was going to get hit from behind!
The fix: the dealership has to clean the throttle body
Yet another repair on this 2005 Grand Crap-avan....is my extended warranty up yet? 'Cause when it is...this van is GONE!!!!!

The throttle body gets all gummed up and causes the throttle to become sticky when pressing down. Remove air filter lid and hose, clean throttle body plate & housing real good with a can of carb cleaner, soak up as much as you can and let air dry. Easy fix, considered yearly maintenance for the 3.8.
