Grand Caravan LX 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 110,000 miles

Noticed van starting to leak coolant when fully warmed up and system under pressure. Traced it to the water pump. Pump was easy to change but found out a trick to removing the pump due to clearance issues with removing pump. In order to gain sufficient clearance with vehicle frame, had to loosen (do not remove), the engine mount screws nearest the serpentine belt system (passenge side mount). Once loosened to just a few mount screw threads, engine is repositioned enough to gain clearance to remove pump and install pump. No other problems with install.

Had van in for another problem, (leaking rack and pinion), and mechanic discovered antifreeze leak, coming out weap hole. Leak wasn't bad, but it would only get worse, so I had it replaced now, rather than when it lets loose and dumps antifreeze everywhere and van is undrivable. I have had that happen on another car.

Not worth what I paid for. I took to it to the shop, needs w/p and thermostat. Also said needs front and rear pads/rotor

Will never buy another Dodge.
