Grand Caravan

  • 43,464 miles
The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the rear window (vent window) on the left side blew off of the vehicle and almost caused a crash to occur. Prior to the failure, a passenger noticed that the window looked as if it were open although it was closed. He took the vehicle to the dealer who stated that they could not assist him with a free repair. The manufacturer has not been notified. The vehicle has not been repaired. The current and failure mileages were 43,464.

Grand Caravan 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 23,450 miles
My husband was driving our 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan on the highway when the driver's-side, rear window blew into the car. It concerns us because, as a parent, one of my children could have been sitting in the third row and would have been seriously injured. Thankfully it did not cause an accident to which the actual cause (of a "broken window") would have never been realized. I am not sure whether this is a safety defect or an anomaly, but I would like my complaint to be recorded based upon these concerns. The window was replaced, and is not available as the window shattered.
