I have noticed that the rear A/C blows hot air while it is set on the A/C position. At that time my kids; 2 years old, 5 years old where apparently sweating and did not know it was not normal while the 12 years old kept repeatedly saying it is warm here at the back. I inspected why it is warm and noticed that the rear ac blows warm air on A/C position while the front A/C is blowing cold air. First, I thought it is the rear A/C blend door but it is the "expansion valve" it has visible corrosion and it is located under the rear right wheel fender where it is subjected to dirt, salt and road debris...I think Dodge/Chrysler needs to fix these design issue since this could be a fatal issue if I did not know it and the older kid never complaint about it. Since then, I have only used the front ac and Chrysler charge a fortune to correct the issue. This is very dangerous situation if you are traveling on a long drive. It is the equivalent of leaving your child in a hot car on a warm days of summer specially in July. I hope we can consider this to be a recall.

Air conditioning blowing hot air. Since 09/10/09, I have had the air conditioner repaired five times.the last repair on O5/21/13 I'm tired of the expense that I can't afford anymore being a retired 73 yr. Old widow. I put minimum miles on the van. The mileage to date(06/18/13) is only 29247.

During the winter last January 2009, I drove from kenosha wi to minneapolis mn. It was the new year weekend and on the trip back, the front windshield became caked with frost on the bottom. Mostly outside. The defrosters did not clear the bottom 6 - 8 inches of the windshield. This causes two problems, one the frost starts to build on the inside and begins to drip and there is water on your dash, second because the outside is caked your wipers begin to freeze up. Even if you clean it recurs quickly. The wipers being caked causes them not to work well clearing they just produce water streaks across your windshield, your vision becomes more and more obstructed because they can;T work. I called my Chrysler dealer and he said they would address the next time I come in. I cam in this fall because I wanted to be able to show them it happening. They now state that all the Dodge vans are like that and they cannot address it. I believe this is a safety hazard and should be addressed.
