Grand Caravan 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 159,000 miles

I have had nothing but problems with the braking system on this vehicle. Now that I have the brakes fixed the gas cap light keeps coming on and when it goes off the door light comes on. Both the gas cap and door are secure so no idea what the problem could be. Any help would be appreciated.

My vehicle was running, I was stopped at a drop off box, then all of a sudden, vehicle began to display all of the warning lights on the instrument panel, wipers came on by themselves, lights came on, fuel gauge registered no fuel on a full tank, speedometer would not register mph.

There has been an issue periodically when the van is running and the driver door is opened. The dash lights all come on and so does the wipers. The headlights start blinking.

When I attempted to leave for work this morning, a solid red light was on on the dash board. When the vehicle started, all of the warning lights stayed on, I had no dash lights nor did the fuel gauge register the fuel in the tank...remained on empty. Took it to Hill-Kelly Dodge and the diagnostic shows an electrical wiring problem in the driver door that is shorting out the module that controls the dash.

I thought I had read somewhere that the wire was manufactured too short and due to friction, causing these issues. They claim it is not a manufacturing issue nor a recall. I am sure this is the cause of most of the "possessed" dash, windows, wipers, etc.

$487 to fix.

Started during winter, liftgate warning light came on and wouldn't go off - roof light came on and wouldn't go off. Warning lights kept alternating between gascap, oil, liftgate, door - always on when ignition on. Replaced rear liftgate latch assembly and interior roof light went out so battery wouldn't drain. Warning lights continue to scroll intermittently. CEL was on but code was for evap so didn't seem related. Annoying as we never know if somethings wrong or if oil is really low or just light malfunction. Daughter has same van and hers started doing the same thing recently. Wonder if anyone else has this problem and how they might have fixed it????

Everytime I step out my vehicle I hear noise of the lock/unlock system and headlights come on, windows roll down, and doors unlock by themselves. Sometimes, the vehicle does these things after I have run upstairs; I usually watch thru one of my windows and, voila!!!, I see my windows had rolled down by themselves and my head lights are on. Then I have to come down the stairs and start the process of securing my vehicle again (several times) and wait until I'm sure it will stay that way. One night it was so creepy (watching my vehicle doing these things all by itself) that I almost take off running.

Audio AUX input, when plugged in external device like mobile, mp3 player or Bluetooth receiver, would play on LEFT driver side channel speaker. DOESN`T play on passenger side speaker. No problem if playing MP3 CD the cassette player and works all speaker.

I had this problem when I bought new in 2009. Dealership replaced it. Now I have it again, however now out of warranty.

Keeps doing it everytime I drive my van, brought it to the dealer once already and they didn't see anything wrong with it. Seems to be getting worse now, more often it will run the wipers, the lights and all warning lights and PRNDL says No Bus, all gauges go to zero. Its sooo annoying!!! No rhyme or reason to any of it. It will stop doing it then start doing it 30 seconds later sometimes all while its parked and running, doesn't matter if its warm or cold. Anyone know what is wrong?

Completely random all warning lights on my dash come on, PRNDL says "No Bus", the alarm dings, wipers run and can't turn them off, lights come on, all doors won't work but you can still drive it. Does all this sometimes then sometimes not. Makes no sense as to when it does it and when it doesn't. Doesn't matter if the van is warm or cold. If I shut my van off while its doing all this it will drain my battery (even though you wouldn't know it because the wipers and everything are off, but they must run power in the background or something). Power doors won't work sometimes right before you turn the van on and its doing it.
