problem #2

Jul 112016

Grand Caravan

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,000 miles

Went to the dealer and the technician could not find and issue as the problem is intermittent and there were no diagnostic codes present indicating a transmission problem, yet the problem keeps presenting itself. Sometimes, when down shifting to first gear there is a "clunking" noise followed by a jerk.

Grand Caravan SE Plus V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 10,500 miles

Transmission makes a significant clunk which you can hear and feel. This happens when shifting from park or reverse into drive. Happens more when going from reverse to drive. Nothing has stopped working yet, local Dodge mechanics told me this is normal and that all Grand Caravans and Town & Countrys do this. At least I'm still under warranty.
