The car won't go past 2500 rpms .Put on scanner, says throttle position sensor. Put on sensor, still does the same thing. Engine still stays on. Not sure to be trusting scanner. What is the problem?

Hello, I put a 2001 dodge intrepid motor in a 2002 intrepid , it will not start.. it has spark and has good fuel pressure and there is power to the injectors.I believe it has something to do with the computer and the cam and crank sensor timing anyone agree?

Lately it is getting harder to start. I have to hold on the ignition key when it used to start immediately. It only has 60,000 on it and has very good maintenance.
