: the contact stated while driving at no particular speed, the throttle control light illuminated and the vehicle lost power. The vehicle did not stall, however the RPM's never exceeded 1800. The vehicle was taken to the local dealership for inspection. The dealer determined the accelerator pedal sensor needed replaced. After the sensor was replaced, another problem arose. Driving at no specific speeds, a loud bang was heard coming from the rear of the vehicle in the exhaust system. The contact described the sound as a muffled explosion type noise. The vehicle was taken to the dealership several times for inspection. However, the problem could not be duplicated and no repairs were made. The manufacturer was alerted and informed the contact the engineering department would investigate. Updated 03/03/06.
