Magnum 2.7L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,647 miles

I was driving my 2008 Dodge Magnum and one day as I was driving getting off the freeway, the oil light blinked on so I immediately pulled in to the gas station, and checked the oil. It was a little low. I buy a quart of oil and put about half in just to be sure that the engine had enough oil. So I began on the road again about 20 miles of driving the oil light come back on, so I immediately get off the next exit. As I'm going up the off ramp the engine start knocking, so I throw it in to neutral and the engine........ never to run again. So I tow it back to my body shop and have my mechanic look at it, he said the the oil pumped failed do to oil sludge.

Buy a new car you expect to not have to be replacing the engine a year later. Warranty has expired, I need to know how others in this situation are getting it resolved.
