Car would not back out of driveway after hearing a noise like I had hit something. Driver side rear wheel was locked and vehicle was undriveable. My son the mechanic pulled the drums and found the brake lining separated from the shoe. Since old drums were not the greatest and previously noisy, we replaced rear wheel cylinders on L & R side and brake pads and drums - but NOT with Chrysler parts. This is the 3rd set of drums after having drums replaced under warranty at 4800 miiles because they were so noisy and out of round. My NON Chrysler brakes sound and work very well and the labor was free since my kid did it - otherwise it would have cost well over $200

When these brakes lock up, it is inconvenient and you can not drive the vehicle until this is brakes are fixed. Causing you to have no way to work! Having to find a ride to get you there. Having to fix this in the snow/cold weather! This is the 2nd time this has happened, last time was the other side. Also when they lock up it makes you do a 360 turn and can cause an accident! Luckily there was no one else on the road when this happened! This seems to be continuing issue and when will the other side go again?
