problem #2

Neon SXT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

On the highway (it loves to leave me on the highway), I heard the engine go quiet but it was still steering. I managed to coast the dead car all the way off the highway and about 6 blocks to a safe parking spot. After towing to the dealer, the fuel pump was found to have gone bad. Dealer replaced fuel pump under extended warranty with new pump.

Neon SXT V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 56,000 miles

This was my second major issue with this car. Only had it two years at this point and I was taking my child to the bus stop. The car dies a block or two from my house. I had to walk my child back to our house in 20 degree weather. Then the tow took forever and by the time it got there I had to wait for ever for them to tell me it was covered because lo and behold at 56000 miles I needed a new fuel pump. Yes I was thankful I had the foresight to buy the extended warranty but why was this happening?! Why is it okay for these autodealers to make sub standards products and get away with it?! Again i will never buy another Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep ever again!!!!!
