bad outer tie rod end

Just got this car for my 16 year old daughter.I knew it had a bad tie rod end when I bought it,but want to make people aware of this safety problem.Dodge owners need to check to see if they have the poorly designed outer tie rod ends. If you do,you should replace them,or put silicone or grease in the slot that the rack adjustment link threads into.If not, water WILL get into the outer's ball and socket area, from the underside, wearing it out prematurely. If this part breaks, you will be in for a hell of a ride! Hope the pic posted.Junk original-left...New $25 part-right. If your car is drifting to the right or left, then the damage is done.
