The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. When the vehicle was started, the windshield wipers began to operate without engaging the windshield wiper lever. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Nitro. The contact referenced NHTSA recall campaign id number: 09V438000, visibility, windshield wiper/washer. While driving 30 mph in a rain storm the contact stated that the windshield wipers failed to function. She took her vehicle into the dealer when her windshield wipers stopped working. The contact was responsible for paying $155.63 to repair the vehicle; however, the dealer stated that the recall repair had previously been performed in February 2010. She stated that the dealer presented her with a recall letter that she did not receive in the mail. The failure mileage was 38,000 and the current mileage was 42,000.

Recall- tipm windshield wiper relays on 2007 Dodge Nitro. The recall notice stated the inspection would take less than 1/2 hour. If new relays were required it would take about 1 hour. However, when the consumer arrived at the dealership, he was told it may take 2 hours. The consumer stated the dealer was not being honest.
