The evaporator just went out towards the end of the summer last year. So the thing is that i am disabled with a lower back problem and i have chronic pain. The medications that i am on makes me very sensitive to heat. So in the summer i need to use air as much as possible. I also own a 1999 Jeep and its evaporator has also went out. You can add a can of refridgerant in and it will work for about a month and then add another. But with my truck it quits in about three days. I have also talked to other Dodge owners and also a couple of Jeep owners and theirs evaporators have went bad also. I would like to know if Dodge or Jeep has a recall or something else that could be done to correct this problem?
