The contact owns a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 50 mph, the hood disengaged from the latch mechanism and crashed into the windshield. The hood and driver's side windshield were damaged. There were no prior warnings or injuries. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The contact notified the insurance company of the damages and is waiting on the vehicle to be repaired. The failure and current mileages were 132,000.
