Ram 1500 SLT 4.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 85,951 miles

Driver side rear passenger door harness has failed . Unable to lock doors. I took apart the harness to see what the issue was. Now i am a Electrician just to add to this. What i found is the insulator around the copper is cheap and wasn't meant to be bent many times. The door lock wire literally broke in have under stress of the door being opened many times. I checked the window, speaker wires and found they are close to breaking as well. Now this door does not get use nearly the amount the driver's door does.I am expecting the rest of the doors to follow.

Ram 1500 SLT 5.9L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 130,000 miles

The harnesses had numerous shorts which caused the fuse block, the computer, and most of the shifting solenoids in the transmission were burned out.
