problem #2

Ram 1500 LX 318

  • Automatic transmission

I replaced the cowling panel on the top of the instrument panel after it cracked in several places. I ordered from OEM parts for $125 or so. Easy to replace but can't understand how Chrysler can design a piece that does not hold up under direct sun. Poorly tested in my opinion.

Ram 1500 1500 5.7L V8

i bought my dodge truck brand new in 06 and 13 months later i noticed a crack starting on the passenger side of the truck so i called the dealership to see wut i could do about the problem and they just told me that the crack would get worse and eventually the crack would get so severe that my dash would start to cave in and that the best solution wud be to get a new dash put in witch wus gonna cost me quite a bit and the warranty did not cover the dash witch is ridiculous! well i ended purchasing a new dash for the truck and getting it put in and sold the truck a month later and now have a 03 duramax and haven't had the fist problem with the dash cracking. Dodge really needs to step up and do something about this problem cause its really a sham!
