problem #1

This is now the 3rd occurrence of this ongoing dangerous problem. I was driving along a side road and went over a few small pot holes on the road. When without warning, all the lights on the dash came on, I lost the power steering and the transmission shifted out of drive and therefore the rpms climbed. The engine as I mentioned remained running. However, this created a very very dangerous situation as I was barely able to keep the truck from going into the ditch due to the total loss of steering and the fact that there was no power to the back wheels. What if I had a vehicle behind me and it had slammed into the back of me. I brought the truck back to the car lot again where I bought it and a different licensed mechanic went over the entire truck all the wiring, ground connections, etc. He also packed all the electrical contacts with di-electric grease. And once again, they could not find anything that jumped out at them.

I went to another Dodge dealership and they had nothing on record of issues like this. The Service Advisor then made a statement to me which absolutely pissed me off. She told me to bring my truck in and if they could get the truck to do this in their shop, they may then be able to better determine what the problem is. Are you kidding me!! This problem happens sporadically. And I know I am not the only one out there who has experienced the same potentially life threatening issue. As there is a lady from San Angelo, Texas who has the very same problem. I am not happy with how Dodge has dealt with this. And I will continue pestering them until the issue has been resolved once and for all. My wife is now to the point where she will not drive the truck and we also have an RV trailer which we used to tow with this truck. Ask me if you think I will be towing it anymore much less driving this vehicle!!! I am MAD AS HELL!!!

What is Chrysler/Dodge waiting to happen here? I want this problem resolved!! After all, this is what warranty coverage is all about is it not Dodge/Chrysler Inc.???
