problem #1

Ram 1500 3.2L

Had a sanding with occasional screech as a warning. I installed new rear pads but originals appeared fine with plenty of lining. Noise persisted. While driving the rear wheel locked up and slung me off the road. I was able after a couple of tries to back up and get the wheel to release. I parked the truck after nervously limping home and had a mechanic friend investigate. after removing the drum/rotor he handed me both emergency brake linings. One appeared to have never had bonding agent on it the other you could see several spots where it had been bonded and was torn loose. My theory the never bonded lining was the culprit and when it jammed the other lining was torn loose ????? I called the dealer and without the vin they were unable to tell me if a recall campaign was made on this problem. Of course this is the same dealer who told me I had front steering suspension problems but didn't mention campaign 10v657000 recall for just that. Or the possible heater diverter gear failure. This is a recent recall and not shown as a recall even on your list
